Bookish Scenes | January

I’m very happy about all the reading moments I’ve been able to cut out during January! I’ve read three books and a short story, but I also snapped tons of bookish photos and that’s new to me.

In order to help myself to stay on track of my reading goals this year, I decided to join a couple of weekly photo challenges. I can’t commit on a daily basis, but one/two photos per week is doable for me. I discovered them a bit late, that’s why some photos are missing.

Bookish Scene: Project 52 hosted by @wordrevel and @whatgeorgiedid

It’s about photography and showcasing books to fit weekly themes. You can read all the rules and register here.

I don’t like to use many props for my photos, I like a little bit of minimalism. Let’s play a game: see how many times I’ll be able to use books from my favorite fandoms along the year (i.e. LOTR and Harry Potter) 😀

#WeeklyBookstagram hosted by @bookaddictsguide

Love book photo challenges but can’t keep up with the one-a-day posts? Then #weeklybookstagram is for you! It’s a once-a-week photo “challenge” with a different theme each week. You can find all the info here.

Again, Harry Potter and Tolkien themed books! 🙂

Now the challenges.

Grow your TBR pile responsibly and read the books you already own. You have ‘em, now read ‘em!

  1. Red’s Untold Tale by Wendy Toliver
  2. And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
  3. The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle – “A Scandal in Bohemia” (from The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes)

Re-read your favorite books.
I didn’t re-read any book this month, but I’m planning to re-read The Silmarillion sometime soon.
Have you read any interesting book during January?
